- DIY Frame – You receive a rolled canvas plus four wooden stretcher bars. Simply assemble the frame, stretch the canvas at home, and enjoy a snug, custom fit.
- Pre-Stretched on Frame – The canvas arrives already mounted on a wooden stretcher frame. Start painting right away and hang it up as soon as you're done.

About the Original Artwork
This paint by numbers kit was inspired by Kawase Hasui's rendition of the Great Buddha at Kamakura, part of his extensive collection of Shōwa-era scenic landscapes. Hasui's prints are known for capturing the charming landscapes of Japan with a harmonious, poetic essence. This image is no exception. The well-balanced composition features the larger-than-life figure set among soft nature and respectful temple structures.
The Great Buddha is a Famous Spiritual Symbol of Japan
The Great Buddha, or Daibutsu, has greeted visitors since the 13th century in the open air of Kōtoku-in Temple in Kamakura. It's one of the most famous spiritual symbols of Japan. Therefore, to paint it is a calming, centering experience—your brush stroke an encounter with Japanese culture as you take your time with soft shapes and deliberate details.
A Calm Paint By Numbers Experience
;This kit is perfect for soft and satisfying endeavors. The statue's folds, the tree gradients, the delicate lines of architecture are all an even painting beat. Great for anyone who finds meaning in Buddhism, appreciates its aesthetics as a Japanese artwork, or just someone looking for the most calming experience through creation.
