- DIY Frame – You receive a rolled canvas plus four wooden stretcher bars. Simply assemble the frame, stretch the canvas at home, and enjoy a snug, custom fit.
- Pre-Stretched on Frame – The canvas arrives already mounted on a wooden stretcher frame. Start painting right away and hang it up as soon as you're done.
- Canvas Board – The canvas is securely fixed to a 0.2-inch thick wooden panel, giving you a sturdy, warping-resistant surface ideal for tabletop painting.

A mallard duck paint by numbers kit for the wildlife crowd
There's a reason a mallard turns up in so many wildlife paintings. That emerald head and the way it sits against still water is hard to beat, and this scene catches the bird right at sunset with the marsh glowing behind him. A mallard duck paint by numbers gives you all that detail to work through, the feathers, the reeds, the gold reflections on the pond. If birds and other wildlife are your thing, there's a whole flock of them waiting in our animal paint by numbers kits.
Why a detailed bird is so satisfying to paint
A subject like this rewards the slow approach. The plumage is broken up into dozens of small shapes, the grays sliding into browns, the sharp white line near the tail, the blue wing patch, and watching the bird take form section by section is the whole pleasure of it. You can spread it over a few evenings or get lost in it on a quiet weekend. Find the number, fill the shape, move to the next. Before long that flat canvas is staring back at you with a real glint in its eye.
What's inside, and who it suits
Open the box and it's all there: a pre-printed canvas with every section numbered, acrylic paints already matched to those numbers, three brushes for the broad sky and the fine feather work, and a guide to keep you on track. The detail makes it a good fit for someone who's painted a kit or two before, though a patient beginner will manage fine. Looking for something with feathers but a touch simpler? There's plenty to compare in our collection of animal kits.
A gift for the hunter, angler or birdwatcher
Outdoorsy folks can be tough to buy for, but a mallard at sunset speaks their language. The duck hunter, the fly fisherman, the one who keeps a pair of binoculars by the window, they'll all get the appeal. It gives them a relaxing project away from the screen and a finished piece for the den, the cabin or the office once it's framed. Good for birthdays, Father's Day, the holidays, whatever's next on the calendar. More wildlife scenes to pick from in our wildlife paint by numbers.
