Two kinds of roses, white and red, crowd together in a plain glass vase. That contrast is the whole charm: pale petals right beside deep ones.

This rose paint by numbers looks right on a kitchen shelf, a guest room wall, or above a small writing desk. It's a quiet, romantic still life, the sort of picture you notice again every time you walk past.

Roses in a Glass

Customer photo review of Roses in a Glass Vase - Paint by Numbers

As always, I tend to come up with my own colouring for the paintings. This one turned out so well, because the template and colour combinations are exceptional. I love the contrasting dark and light of the composition and the modern take on traditional subject matter. There is more than enough paint in the little containers to really get the painting to look good without white in the background. Highly recommend this one for a dramatic painting project!

I am about a third of the way through. The colors are really lovely and this is the first PBN kit I've had with easy to read numbers and excellent quality paints! I have to force myself to set it down for a bit to exercise, etc. because I am so excited to finish. Will definitely buy more and recommend

Roses in a Glass

I got this for mother and she's currently working on it and enjoying the process. The instructions and numbers are easy to follow. I did give my mother a little magnifying glass to see the smaller numbers, which was helpful to her. Also Frank was very helpful in a timely manner.

It has arrived. Being a Christmas present there is no picture to send you. Could use the 30% off toward the next Christmas present but I do understand. Stay safe.

Roses in a Glass Vase - Paint by Numbers

Loved doint this painting! Some of the paint colors didn't match what the picture looked like so I made some changes and it turned out great. Some of the paint required 4 or 5 coats which was a little frustrating but overall i loved doing it and I was very pleased with end result. I thought you do a great job with how you package the kit and I would definitely order again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not at all! Our kits are designed for both beginners and experienced artists. The numbered guide makes it easy to follow along, and many users find the process meditative and relaxing. Simply match the numbers on the canvas with the numbers on the paint and start creating!

Some colors, mostly yellows, whites, light pinks and pale blues, are semi-transparent, so the printed numbers and lines can show through after one coat. That is normal. Let the first coat dry, then add a second one. Painting the light areas before the dark ones next to them also helps, and avoid adding water, which makes the paint thinner.

If the paint is still wet, wipe it off with a damp cotton swab. If it has dried, simply paint over it with the right color once it is completely dry. Covering a dark color with a light one may need two or three thin coats. Acrylic paint is very forgiving, so a small slip is easy to hide.

Close each pot tightly after use, since acrylic paint dries quickly when left open. If a color has become thick, add one or two drops of water and stir. If it has dried out completely, contact us with the color number: within 60 days of delivery we send replacement paints for free.

It depends on the kit level, the size and your own pace. As a guide, Beginner kits take about a week of relaxed painting, Intermediate kits a little more than a week, and Advanced kits two weeks or more. A larger size or Premium detail adds time. It's not a race, so enjoy the process.

A pre-stretched kit is ready to hang once the paint is dry, with a hanging kit included. A rolled canvas can go on our DIY frame or to a local framer. Our canvases are made in metric sizes (40x50 cm is slightly smaller than 16x20"), so measure the painted area before buying a frame.

Most orders ship from our California or Texas locations and arrive in 3 to 7 business days in the US. Canvas board kits and orders outside the US take 7 to 14 business days. The Shipping Information tab on this page shows the estimate for this item.

We will send tracking information to the e-mail address associated with your order once the item has shipped.

At Canvas by Numbers, we're proud of our exceptional customer service. Understanding the intricacies of art creation, we offer a 60-day guarantee where we'll send extra paints for free should you run out of any color.

Yes, safety is a top priority for us. The paints used in our kits are water-based, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. Likewise, the materials in our diamond painting kits are non-hazardous. Always use the kits as directed and keep them out of reach of small children.

What Makes Roses in a Glass So Appealing?

The design keeps things simple on purpose: white and red roses sharing a plain glass, with no elaborate table or background to compete. The red stands for passion and the white for purity in the old language of flowers, so the pairing reads as quietly romantic.

An Easy Rose Paint by Numbers to Share

The petals are well defined and the vase is simple, which makes this an easy, low-pressure kit. It works well as a couple's evening project or a calm solo one. Paint the pale white roses before the red ones so the darker pigment does not drift into the lighter areas.
