The likeness was really good but as you can see when you compare the photo and the painting the colours were very washed out. I decided to make some changes by mixing some of the colours and I was happy with that.
This magnificent owl was a lot of work, but absolutely worth the effort!

This was a Custom of daughters dog, Jax, The picture was so lifelike when finished . The detail and the color combinations of the paints was just right . The canvas was of quality texture and easy to frame when painting completed. I have since sent for another Custom kit - this time of our dog that we lost 2 years ago . I love doing these! I can’t paint free hand, but this helps and the colors are pretty accurate! You may have to improve some of the shading once done, but this is an excellent fun kit!

I finished painting the hummingbirds by the same artist. It was difficult to say the least, so when I started the orchids, I thought, oh this is not going to be as difficult as the other one. Well, it was! I have received so many compliments on the paintings. Thank you!
The entire kit was magnificent; esecially the good quality of the paints and brushes. I was disappointed however in my ability to perform the apparant detail necessary for the eyes. My fault. I chose a most "detailed" setting for my custom photo that was a closeup portrait of a woman' face. Extreme detail necessary to properly depict the eyes. When I finished the painting, the eyes just didn't look right. If I ever do another portrait painting it will be on the easiest settings. Right now I'm going back to your landscape paintings.

I'm glad I bought the these brushes. The ones with the tiny bristles are absolutely neccessary for a beginner like myself. These brushes hold up. The bristles do not fall out.

I loved the painting and It did come at a reasonable time. The only thing wrong was one of my paints (a blue color) was not as good quality as the others. It did not cover well and took several coats to cover, and became dry and very hard to use after only a couple uses. And I do put the lids back on in between uses. I had to go to a local Michael’s and paint match so I can finish it. Other than that I loved it and it has been very relaxing. Thank you! Picture below, still not finished.

This is the first set I have bought since I started in on PBN about a year and a half ago. I love having the graduations and the weasel bristles are superior to the synthetic brushes I have been using. I have included a painting that had so much tiny detail which would have driven me crazy in the past

I love the new brushes especially for fine detailing. The project I'm working on now is the most advanced I've attempted and without these new brushes I wouldn't be able to get the results I'm getting. Have many more enjoyable hours left on this painting to complete, but it is coming along nicely.

Not at all! Our kits are designed for both beginners and experienced artists. The numbered guide makes it easy to follow along, and many users find the process meditative and relaxing. Simply match the numbers on the canvas with the numbers on the paint and start creating!
Some colors, mostly yellows, whites, light pinks and pale blues, are semi-transparent, so the printed numbers and lines can show through after one coat. That is normal. Let the first coat dry, then add a second one. Painting the light areas before the dark ones next to them also helps, and avoid adding water, which makes the paint thinner.
If the paint is still wet, wipe it off with a damp cotton swab. If it has dried, simply paint over it with the right color once it is completely dry. Covering a dark color with a light one may need two or three thin coats. Acrylic paint is very forgiving, so a small slip is easy to hide.
Close each pot tightly after use, since acrylic paint dries quickly when left open. If a color has become thick, add one or two drops of water and stir. If it has dried out completely, contact us with the color number: within 60 days of delivery we send replacement paints for free.
It depends on the kit level, the size and your own pace. As a guide, Beginner kits take about a week of relaxed painting, Intermediate kits a little more than a week, and Advanced kits two weeks or more. A larger size or Premium detail adds time. It's not a race, so enjoy the process.
A pre-stretched kit is ready to hang once the paint is dry, with a hanging kit included. A rolled canvas can go on our DIY frame or to a local framer. Our canvases are made in metric sizes (40x50 cm is slightly smaller than 16x20"), so measure the painted area before buying a frame.
