A River Near Paris

The Oise flows into the Seine just northwest of Paris, and its banks drew many painters in the late 1800s. Rousseau gave the scene his own neat, almost toy-like style, with clear trees and bright sails.

Tips for the Diamond Version

Do the sailboats first so the focal point is set. Then build the trees from front to back, and finish with the river and the cloudy sky.
