La ville est une toile d’art et Macneil en est l’artiste. Macneil est un artiste autodidacte avec une riche histoire dans l’industrie créative. Depuis ses débuts à la Worcester Royal Porcelain, il s'est intéressé aux domaines de la sculpture, de la céramique et du graphisme dans son pays d'origine, le Royaume-Uni, tout en élargissant sa portée à l'étranger.
Macneil a créé une entreprise aux États-Unis, Bronn, qui produisait des sculptures exclusives de l'art occidental américain. L’une de ses étapes majeures a été de voir ses œuvres dans le bureau ovale de la Maison Blanche. Son style de marque était de créer un art attrayant et accessible à tous. Ses œuvres, dont beaucoup étaient des paysages urbains , se retrouvent désormais dans des cartes de vœux, des gravures d'art, de la décoration intérieure et de la papeterie.
