Choose the finish that best fits how you like to paint and display your artwork:
- Rolled (No Frame) – The canvas is shipped rolled inside a sturdy PVC tube. It’s easy to store, travel with, or take to your local framer.
- DIY Frame – You receive a rolled canvas plus four wooden stretcher bars. Simply assemble the frame, stretch the canvas at home, and enjoy a snug, custom fit.
- Pre-Stretched on Frame – The canvas arrives already mounted on a wooden stretcher frame. Start painting right away and hang it up as soon as you're done.
- Canvas Board – The canvas is securely fixed to a 0.2-inch thick wooden panel, giving you a sturdy, warping-resistant surface ideal for tabletop painting.

Who Rows the Boat on the River Styx?
In Greek myth, the river Styx marked the border of the underworld, and the ferryman Charon carried the dead across, as long as they paid him a coin. Here the old ferryman has a pumpkin for a head and a romantic couple for passengers, drifting toward the cemetery gates under a full moon. Crows keep watch.
Painting a Moonlit Halloween Scene by Numbers
The ferryman's deep purple cloak and glowing pumpkin head give you bold shapes to anchor the painting. Start with the sky and moon, then the marsh and cattails, then the boat and figures. Save the rippling reflections and the teal lantern glow for last; that is where the scene comes alive.
It makes a fun gift for a couple who love Halloween, or a conversation piece for a fall mantel. Browse more paint by numbers kits.
