It depends on the kit level, the size and your own pace. As a guide, Beginner kits take about a week of relaxed painting, Intermediate kits a little more than a week, and Advanced kits two weeks or more. A larger size or Premium detail adds time. It's not a race, so enjoy the process.
Yes, safety is a top priority for us. The paints used in our kits are water-based, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. Likewise, the materials in our diamond painting kits are non-hazardous. Always use the kits as directed and keep them out of reach of small children.
Folk Art Animals for Little Walls
Safari Friends is a set of six storybook animal portraits: a chameleon, a pelican, an ostrich, a zebra, a pair of crabs and a cow under a rainbow. Each one is framed with bold folk art flowers and leaves, the kind of decorative border you might see on painted furniture or a hand stitched quilt.
A Low-Pressure First Project
These minis are ideal for anyone new to paint by numbers. The canvases are small and the shapes are simple, so one design can be done in an afternoon. That quick finish keeps kids and beginners motivated.
A fun approach for families is to give everyone their favorite animal, paint side by side, and then hang the results together.
Where Do Safari Minis Look Best?
They suit a nursery wall, a playroom or a child's bookshelf, and they pair well with other mini sets on a gallery wall. Grandparents often enjoy this as a shared activity with a grandchild, one animal per visit. Explore more designs in our Mini Paint by Numbers collection.
