Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 43 reviews.
I GOT LOST IN THE WOODS! What a great kit, I went with the 48 colors and pre mounted, this is truly the way to go. Great paints, everything was easy to work with! Thank you Canvas by Numbers!
Whew! Finally finished this one. It was more intricate than I had thought and took me a lot longer to finish up. It was also a labor of love and one of the more beautiful of the numbered paintings I had done. Not much to add except keep a number of fine tipped brushes handy and expect to improvise on some hard to follow areas. Some boundary lines were so faint that mistakes were inevitable for me. ......................... With the help of a magnifier lamp I feel like a jeweler working on a rare timepiece. The good news is that this is a ‘woodland scape’ and mistakes that are made will be more apt to blend. I counted around 20 different shades of green and an almost equal number of browns. The shimmering light mixed with dark are extraordinary. It will be a good piece of art I can use to meditate on and bring inner peace.
Prachtig schilderij dat stap voor stap tot leven komt. De takken van de bomen bewegen bijna. Heerlijk meditatief om te doen. Kwaliteit is uitstekend.
I purchased this for my husband as a gift. I haven't seen him in days! He loves it and finds it very relaxing. The amount of paint is just right, he found the frame easy to put together and fits the painting well.
Great product and good quality paint. I loved that it was an advanced painting.
Loved doing this one!! Turned out beautifully!! The paints were all very smooth, and I loved the brushes! Hardest one I've done this far!
Le plus difficile que j’ai fait jusqu’à maintenant. La qualité de la peinture aurait pu être meilleure, mais le résultat est époustouflant. On peut voir la profondeur de la forêt.
Didn’t feel like it had depth till I added the very last color!
Loved the challenge and the result of this painting. My son loves it so I’m gifting it to him and doing another for me!
This was ultimately a beautiful scene. However, I would judge the difficulty of the painting to be advanced. For me, it was a difficult project, but a beautiful result. I have painted fourteen of your paintings. This one was the most advanced.
I fun and beautiful pictures to paint.
This painting is better for people who already have some experience with painting by numbers. There were some portions of this painting that require a lot of detail in order to capture the feeling of the forest in the summer. I love taking walks with my husband in a forest just like this. Thanks to Canvas by Numbers for the great quality canvas and paint.
I enjoyed the different colors that were in the trees. I also changed the color from black to blue to create a small pond effect in my picture.
This was a very challenging painting. A lot of small detail areas. A couple of comments to make to improve this kit. First, the painting on the website is the original painting. The kit painting is a recreation but it as not as detailed due to the limit on colors the factory can provide with each kit. Second more of paint 9 and 26 needs to be provided with the kit. I ran out of both paints. Third, I would buy the detail brush kit because of all the small detail. Lastly, I want to thank Frank in Customer Service for his help on this kit. The paper template wasn't shipped with kit and he was able to send me a digital copy. It turned out to be a great help as I was able to enlarge the small detail areas.
I didn't think it would look like a real painting, with soft, almost sheer greenery, but it really does.
Excellent product. Great subject matter. Very enjoyable. This is the tenth painting from our collection that I have purchased.
This one is the most challenging I've painted out of ten others. I took my time, about 8 weeks, with the fine details in this painting.
This was a lot of fun to do and it's one of my favorite paint by numbers that I've done so far.
This painting was a joy to do!
This painting was indeed a pleasure to complete! The paint was easy to work with and the numbers easy to read. I am ordering my next painting from this company!
Love the painting by Thomas Moran! The black paint (1874) was insufficient, i used left over from another painting. However good to hear from Canvas by Number that they would send me extra pot if necessary. Good service!
Love the painting by Thomas Moran. Service by canvas by numbers is excellent. The black paint pot was insufficient, i used the left over from another painting. But glad to hear from canvas by numbers that they would send me the pot should i need it.

Very detailed painting - probably not for a beginner (it would be overwhelming). However, I have been enjoying the painting experience.
I bought this for my husband. He has spent many pleasant hours working on it.
As a gft formy husband, it will be challenging for him. Well packed, as advertised.
I am still working on the canvas. It’s difficult. But, that’s what I wanted. I have run out of paint in pot #1. I guess I’ll have to improvise with what I have left over. I was somewhat disappointed in how long it took to receive the order. I ordered on 1December, and did not receive the order until the 17 or 18th.

Super high quality, looking forward to finishing it! Verrry tiny areas to paint, I think it will take me some time. Shipping was seamless and it arrived intact!
It arrived quickly and was just as described
Much more detailed than I expected but I love it!
Enjoyed
It is very well done, the paint is really good and overs ok. I am not finished yet but it is a good experience, that like because it is a little more difficult. My only complaint is that areas are very small, and the brushes don’t include one that is narrow enough for this painting
I had to get smaller brushes but the picture is beautiful
thanks for a good transaction
Haven't done the kit as yet, but it arrived well packaged and in excellent condition! Look forward to creating a great piece of art!
Quality paint and canvas. Loved doing this painting.
As a veteran PBN painter I am happy to recommend. Canvas is good quality and detailed, paints are good, kit arrived well packaged and the canvas rolled in a tube. Seller was excellent. Will order again.
Can't wait to get started...looks really nice!
