1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Canvas by Numbers collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit canvasbynumbers.com (the "Site"), buy from us, or sign up for our emails or texts. "We", "us" and "our" mean Canvas by Numbers, operated by CBN Company SLU (Escaldes-Engordany, Andorra) and Canvas by Numbers LLC (Sheridan, Wyoming, USA).
We sell paint by numbers and diamond painting kits. We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use advertising partners, and some laws treat that as "sharing" or "selling". Section 3 explains how you control it, and Section 5 explains your rights.

2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order details: name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number and the items you buy. Payment card details are handled by our payment processors (such as Shopify Payments and the other options shown at checkout). We do not store full card numbers.
- Account details: if you create an account, your login email and order history.
- Custom kit photos: if you order a custom kit, the photo you upload, used only to make your kit.
- Messages: emails, chat messages and support requests you send us.
- Reviews: reviews and photos you submit through our review app.
- Marketing sign-ups: your email or phone number if you join our emails or texts.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the Site, our systems and our partners' tools may collect your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, pages you view, the page that referred you, search terms, and cookie or device identifiers. Some of this is needed to run the Site (for example to keep items in your cart). Some is used for analytics and advertising, and Section 3 explains when that happens and how you control it.
Information from others
We may receive information from Shopify, payment providers, shipping carriers, and advertising platforms (for example, a report that an ad led to a purchase).
3. Cookies, pixels and your choices
Only essential cookies load until you choose. If you visit from the EU, the UK or a US state with a consumer privacy law (including California), a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Until you choose, we load only the cookies needed to run the Site, such as your cart, checkout, currency and security. Analytics and advertising tools load only after you click "Accept".
To change your choice later, clear the cookies for canvasbynumbers.com in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit, or email us at support@canvasbynumbers.com. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of advertising cookies and of the sale or sharing of your information.

Each partner handles data under its own privacy policy. You can also limit ad personalization directly with Google, Meta, or through the Digital Advertising Alliance.
What this means for you: if you click "Decline", advertising and analytics partners do not receive information from your visit through these tools.
4. How we use and share information

- To process, ship and support your orders, including custom kits and returns
- To run your account and our rewards program
- To send emails and texts you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To show you ads for our products on other sites and apps, if you allow advertising cookies
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it, if you allow analytics cookies
- To prevent fraud and keep the Site secure
- To follow the law and protect our rights
Who we share it with
- Service providers that work for us, such as Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, our warehouses and production partners, email and SMS providers, and customer support tools. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners listed in Section 3, only when you allow those cookies.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect our rights, customers or others.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use or share sensitive personal information to infer things about you.
5. California and other US state rights
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas or Oregon), you have these rights:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it
- Access a copy of your personal information
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your personal information, with some exceptions (for example, records we must keep for tax)
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising
- Not be treated differently for using any of these rights
How to opt out of sale or sharing: click "Decline" in our cookie banner, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or email support@canvasbynumbers.com with the subject "Do not sell or share". We honor all three.
How to make any other request: email support@canvasbynumbers.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will confirm your identity using the email or order details we already hold, and reply within 45 days. You can use an authorized agent if they have your written permission. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision.
Categories in the last 12 months: we collected identifiers (name, email, phone, address, IP address, cookie IDs), commercial information (purchases), internet activity (pages viewed, clicks), approximate location, and photos you upload for custom kits. We shared identifiers and internet activity with the advertising partners in Section 3 for advertising. We did not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

6. EU, UK and Andorra rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Andorra, we process your information on these legal bases:
- Contract: to fulfil your orders and run your account
- Consent: for analytics and advertising cookies, and for marketing emails and texts. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: to prevent fraud, keep the Site secure and improve our service
- Legal obligation: to keep tax and accounting records
You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your information, or object to how we use it, by emailing support@canvasbynumbers.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Everything else
Emails and texts. We send marketing emails and texts only if you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text. Our full SMS terms are in our Messaging Terms and Messaging Privacy Policy. Message and data rates may apply.
How long we keep information. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting laws require. We keep marketing data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep custom kit photos only as long as needed to make your kit and handle any replacement. Cookie data is kept for the periods shown in our cookie banner preferences.
Security. We use Shopify's secure, encrypted checkout and limit who on our team can see customer data. No system is completely secure, so please contact us if you think your information has been misused.
Children. The Site is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes. If we make important changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top and, where required, ask for your consent again.
