Henri-Edmond Cross Paint by Numbers: Pointillist Color
Henri-Edmond Cross (1856 to 1910) was a French Neo-Impressionist born Henri-Edmond Delacroix in Douai. He adopted "Cross", an English play on croix, to avoid confusion with Eugène Delacroix. In 1884 he helped found the Société des Artistes Indépendants, and in 1891 he settled on the Mediterranean coast of the Var, where he painted sunlit shores and gardens in small strokes of pure color.
