The Cabin by the Lake

Kim Norlien paints the north woods of Wisconsin and Minnesota, places full of lakes, pines and family cabins. Sweet Memories is about that feeling of coming back to the same shore year after year.

Tips for a Detailed Scene

This one has a lot going on, so work from the center out. Do the cabin and its lit windows first, then the reflections in the water, then the trees and flowers around the edges.
