Getting Started quick guide.
Choose the finish that best fits how you like to paint and display your artwork:
- Rolled (No Frame) – The canvas is shipped rolled inside a sturdy PVC tube. It’s easy to store, travel with, or take to your local framer.
- DIY Frame – You receive a rolled canvas plus four wooden stretcher bars. Simply assemble the frame, stretch the canvas at home, and enjoy a snug, custom fit.
- Pre-Stretched on Frame – The canvas arrives already mounted on a wooden stretcher frame. Start painting right away and hang it up as soon as you're done.
- Canvas Board – The canvas is securely fixed to a 0.2-inch thick wooden panel, giving you a sturdy, warping-resistant surface ideal for tabletop painting.

The Wild Turkey, an American Original
The wild turkey is native to North America and one of its most recognizable birds. Benjamin Franklin famously praised it in a 1784 letter to his daughter, calling it a more respectable bird than the bald eagle. This portrait shows a male in full display, tail fanned wide, against a golden autumn meadow at sunset.
Painting Iridescent Feathers by Numbers
The bronze and green sheen of the feathers is the heart of this kit. Paint the sky and rolling hills first, then the tail fan, and finish with the body feathers, head and bright red wattle.
Moving from back to front this way keeps the bird crisp against the soft evening light.
A Thanksgiving Season Favorite
With its warm golden palette, this design suits a cabin, farmhouse kitchen or den, and it looks especially right in November. It is a meaningful pick for hunters, bird watchers and anyone who loves the outdoors. Browse more wildlife among our paint by numbers kits.
